Recent Activities
Haven't posted in weeks! Recently I have been re-editing my past writing so I can post it on my website (not this one). It was both fun and boring (or tedious, I guess). I still love the writing. Just not all that into the consistent discipline (yeah, I know. I should work on that).
Making a website for my own fiction writing is fun though. Unlike this blog, where I just write whatever I want and the design has a full concept of an office, my fiction website focuses more on navigation and how to make the reading experience feel good. This makes me think a bit about how, even in the past, when I was learning something new I always went for the maximalist route. When drawing using new media, I used all the colors, all the techniques, so the composition was all over the place because there was no focus.
It was only on the second or third try that I would ease up. Most likely because when I've tried it all, I finally knew what I wanted after that. So this fiction website is kinda like that. An Actual Spine has everything I love about tweaking my own websites. It's my learning playground. But for the fiction website I know now where I want it to go. It's nice.
I also have been thinking of posting a new essay, but I have only managed to reach 20-30% of each drafts. I have been sick (again) so I spent most of the time sleeping if not working my corporate job. Boooooo. Let me draw! Let me paint! Let me write!
Still recovering right now. In the meantime, I'll just read novels.
